Writer: Coalition of Natives and AlliesCoalition of Natives and Allies

Greetings!

Superintendent Thomas Parker called it “a really strong symbolic change.” Board President Sara Brace said that changing the mascot will “make sure our schools are welcome to all.” The Francis D. Raub Middle School in Allentown, PA changed their mascot name from the Indians to the RAVENS. They are the first school in the Lehigh Valley to do so.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SCHOOL BOARD AND SUPERINTENDENT! Coalition of Natives and Allies,
